Q: Any goodies to welcome us?

Yes, the fridge comes with some fresh milk and there’s complimentary coffee and biscuits. Teabags are in the cupboard. Make yourself a cuppa while you plan what to do first.

Q: Is there a dishwasher?

Sorry, no. With the layout of the kitchen and having a young family, we needed to prioritise a washing machine! We do find that without the pressures of everyday life, washing up at St Denys is not such a chore!

Q: What do your guests say?

“The location could not have been better. It was easy to walk everywhere.” “The house was lovely and quiet but within easy walking distance from the town centre with its historic sites.” “The house was perfect in every way, especially the proximity to town and all the lovely restaurants and bars on Fossgate.”

Q: Is there noise at night?

We can’t guarantee a silent night, but our guests often comment on how quiet it is: “surprisingly quiet here, given the close proximity to the town centre” “such a peaceful location but so close to the city”

Q: Sadly the laundry doesn’t stop on holiday . . .

We know the feeling! There is a retracting washing line you can hook up in the courtyard and there are racks for indoor drying if necessary. We have plenty of clothes pegs. Iron and ironing board are there too if you feel you really have to!

Q: What about cleaning products and washing machine tabs?

Yes, everything you need should be there. Fresh tea towels too. We aim to make it like home from home!
