STAY IN THE HEART OF YORK
St Denys View is our home when we are in York, our favourite city. We have created our home-from-home with subtle colours and both modern and vintage details. We love to wake up to the beautiful view of the historic St Denys Church with its green churchyard. When the leaves have gone, you even can glimpse the Minster.
It is a perfect base to rest, eat and recharge, with the sights of York on your doorstep. The major tourist attractions such as York Minster, the Shambles, the Castle Museum, Clifford’s Tower and river sailings are all within 10 minutes’ walk. The nearest supermarket is only 2 minutes on foot.
The railway station is 20 minutes’ walk or a short taxi ride away. If you come by car, we offer a permit for on-street parking in adjacent streets. But you won’t need a car during your stay as all the main sights are easily reached on foot, even for little legs.
We hope you have a wonderful time when you stay.

St Denys View offers comfortable, casual elegance in a fantastic location. As one guest wrote in our guest book: “It would be hard to find a more stylish and comfortable place to stay”. Or another, who commented “Prefer this to all the hotels we’ve stayed in”.
St Denys View has two light and airy bedrooms with comfortable beds. Downstairs there is a well-equipped kitchen including microwave and washing machine and a comfortable lounge with TV and DVD player. You’ll find toys and games, a high chair, a travel cot for younger guests. Our courtyard has a garden table and chairs where you can relax on sunny days and warm evenings.
St Denys View is situated round the corner from vibrant Walmgate and Fossgate, with some of York’s most popular restaurants, cafés, second hand bookshops and other independent retailers. The city walls and the main pedestrianised shopping areas are both within 5 minutes walk. The major tourist attractions such as York Minster, the Castle Museum, Clifford’s Tower and river sailings are all within 10 minutes walk.
St Denys is perfectly located for exploring all the city’s treasures on foot. Walk the city walls for stunning views and marvel at the Minster and Clifford’s Tower. And when you need to recharge, there are a host of cafes and restaurants at every turn to cater for every taste. Beautiful coast and countryside are within easy reach for day trips exploring the best of Yorkshire’s scenery and heritage at the coast, the North York Moors and in the Yorkshire Dales.
“This house was perfect. The attention to detail was second to none: the beds were so comfortable, the décor perfect, equipment extensive, sunny courtyard, lovely view of St Denys Church.”
“Charming, beautifully furnished and fully equipped townhouse within walking distance to everything you could possibly want to do or see in York”.
